The oil cooler connector connects the thermostat housing to the vehicle’s oil cooler. This oil cooler connector is prone to failure because overtime the plastic and o-rings becomes brittle causing a coolant leak. When replacing your vehicle’s thermostat housing or water pump we strongly recommend replacing the oil cooler connector.
